Planned Giving

Your legacy can be one of restoration. Through planned giving, you ensure that survivors of trafficking will have access to life-changing care for generations to come.

A Legacy of Hope

What Is Planned Giving?

Planned giving allows you to make a significant, lasting contribution to Helping Captives through your estate plan or financial strategy. These gifts ensure the long-term sustainability of our programs and provide survivors with the support they need well into the future.

A planned gift can be structured to align with your financial goals while making a transformative difference. Whether through a bequest in your will, a beneficiary designation, or a charitable trust, there are many ways to leave a legacy of restoration.

We recommend working with your financial advisor or estate attorney to determine the best approach for your situation. Our team is also available to discuss options and answer questions.

"We wanted our legacy to stand for something real. Knowing that our gift will help women find freedom and rebuild their lives — that is a legacy worth leaving."

Ways to Give Through Your Estate

There are several approaches to planned giving, each with unique benefits. Consult your advisor to find the right fit.

Bequests

Include Helping Captives in your will or living trust. You can designate a specific dollar amount, a percentage of your estate, or a residual gift after other obligations are met. This is the simplest and most common form of planned giving.

Beneficiary Designations

Name Helping Captives as a beneficiary of your retirement account, life insurance policy, or bank account. This can often be done with a simple form change through your financial institution — no changes to your will required.

Charitable Trusts

Charitable remainder trusts and charitable lead trusts allow you to provide for your family while also supporting survivors. These instruments can offer income tax deductions, reduce estate taxes, and create a steady stream of support for our mission.

Donor-Advised Funds

If you have a donor-advised fund (DAF), you can recommend a grant to Helping Captives at any time. DAFs offer immediate tax benefits while allowing you to recommend charitable distributions over time as part of your long-term giving plan.
